Sarah has been painting animals for most of her life. A background in farming provided many subjects, from cows, sheep, chickens and dogs, to the wild animals and birds which shared the fields and barns.

She worked with horses for many years, and loves to portray them in action and at rest.

A trip to Kenya inspired her to paint African animals, particularly zebras. She has since travelled to other parts of Africa. The abundant wildlife and remote landscape of Botswana have been a great inspiration, and she strives to capture the love she feels for this beautiful country in her work.

Sarah has painted many different types of animal, and finds researching their behaviour as rewarding as painting them.

She has recently begun to develop her portrait work, using strong colours and non-traditional compositions.

She has shown paintings at Christie's and the Mall Galleries, and in national and local exhibitions.

Sarah is a full member of the Society of Feline Artists and a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society.

She accepts commissions in oils and pastels.
